Overview
Warner Brothers wanted to create a knitted custom Christmas sweater for Friends.
Friends has generated significant revenue for Warner Bros. In 1998, the show debuted in broadcast syndication, earning Warner Bros. TV $4 million per episode in fees. In 2019, WarnerMedia secured a $100 million deal with Netflix for streaming rights. Later, Warner Bros. paid $425 million to bring Friends exclusively to its own streaming platform, HBO Max.
The show's enduring popularity continues to benefit Warner Bros., reportedly generating $1 billion annually. Fans constantly seek new merchandise, so Warner Brothers designed a limited edition Christmas sweater and partnered with Roody to produce it.

If you haven’t seen it, "Friends" is an American sitcom that aired from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004. It follows the lives of six close-knit friends living in New York City as they navigate relationships, careers, and everyday life in their 20s and 30s.
Due to streaming services such as Netflix and HBO, people can watch repeats all the time and watch every episode back to back. The streaming services have also meant that people who were not even born when Friends first aired now love and watch the show religiously.
The Project
People who has watched Friends has their favourite character or memories about the show but no matter what that is, everyone remembers Central Perk. Warner Brothers designed the sweater to have that name featured front and centre and they also included coffee and the Friends logo along with some festive icons. The sweaters were Pantone matched, the design was fully knitted in and custom labels were made!
The Result
The sweater received huge media attention and was featured in online publications such as Nerdist and across all social media channels.
