The Project
Shopify were holding a number of events in different locations around the world. They reached out to Roody to make the custom merch for the events. They wanted Roody to arrange storage, distribution and shipping.
The Making of the Custom Swag
Shopify wanted a number of different merch options and they wanted premium and sustainable items used for the event. Two of the most popular items were the custom hoodies and custom tote bags. Making the custom swag was fun as there were a lot of playful elements to the design and the color was a beautiful light pink. The bags were made using 100% organic material and the hoodies were a combed cotton.
The Result
📣 Big Reaction from the Crowd The custom merch was a smash hit at the event. Attendees lined up for photo ops at the Roody booth, shared their pieces on social media with hashtags like #RoodyxShopify and #ShopifySwag! People who attended the events took everything home with them and wore and used the merch afterwards. Many shared their love of the products on their social media channels. For people who could not attend the event or those who attained the virtual event, Roody shipped them a custom box with the merch inside. For other events around the world, Roody arranged for the shipping and distribution of the items. What set this merch drop apart was how intentional and interactive it was. Each tag included a Shopify-powered QR code, leading attendees to mini-sites, discount codes, or even merch drops of their own. It wasn’t just apparel—it was a creative nod to what’s possible when branding and commerce work together.
