Paramount have a merch store in the US and in Europe and they wanted to add a Star Trek Christmas sweater to the store. They wanted Roody to make them, individually label them, barcode them and distribute them to their US and European bases.

About Star Trek
Star Trek is a legendary science fiction franchise that began as a TV series in the 1960s and has since grown into a massive universe of shows, movies, books, games, and fan culture. It’s known for blending space adventure with deep ideas about humanity, ethics, and the future.
At its core, Star Trek is about a future where humanity has overcome many of its problems and formed a peaceful alliance of species called the United Federation of Planets. The series follows the crews of starships like the U.S.S. Enterprise as they explore space, make contact with new lifeforms, and navigate political, ethical, and scientific challenges.
The Project
Paramount created a Star Trek design and wanted Roody to produce custom Christmas sweaters to celebrate the Star Trek universe. This piece exemplifies a fusion of pop culture nostalgia, technical knitting craftsmanship, and sustainability-forward fashion. The sweater features the U.S.S. Enterprise (multiple views: top, side, and front) rendered in pixelated jacquard knit, the iconic Starfleet insignia on the chest, pixelated background stars, warp trails, and futuristic elements. The side motifs include the Vulcan salute and planetary orbits.
The Making of the Sweater
Designs were knitted into the fabric using multi-color yarns (not printed), ensuring durability and texture. The sweater includes 360° Customization: Patterns extend across the sleeves and back, using all-over knit capabilities.
Shipping the Sweaters
Paramount wanted to sell these sweaters in the US and across Europe and on a global scale. Roody arranged shipping to the US and multiple different bases in the world including Germany, France and the UK. As these were being distributed widely, barcodes and custom labels were required. Roody provided this service.
The Result
The thing that fans really liked about this sweater is the visual identity. The sweater doesn’t just feature logos—it feels like Star Trek, down to the pixelated warp drive graphics.Due to the success of the sweater, multiple different designs were created a full range of Star Trek sweaters are released every year for the Holidays.
