The Challenge
The amazing team at McCann were charged with creating a fun campaign for the holiday season for iHop. The team wanted to create something that could potentially go viral and would really translate well on social media. They approached Roody to help create something really memorable.
The Project
We worked with the McCann team to develop a Custom Christmas Sweater that would feature all the attributes iHop is famed for. This included toast, bacon, eggs and, of course, their world class pancakes. Each sweater included a custom label for iHop who opted for an amazing chunky knit blue sweater.
Each sweater was fully knitted with the design woven in. After the initial run, a second run was required in super fast time.
The Result
The reaction was insane. The iHop Christmas sweater went viral gathering hundreds of thousands of likes across multiple social platforms. Everyone wanted an iHope Custom Christmas Sweater. The team had made an initial run of 400 sweaters but ran out super quickly. The next run was made very quickly and the sweaters were an item of envy for staff and fans a like.
The sweater was the "must-have" holiday season - both McCann and iHop were thrilled with the results.
